Weekly Photo Challenge: “Astro Star Kards”

The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “New.”

I started working with the Osho Zen Tarot cards a couple of years ago, loving the insight and guidance to practice that they provide. Those cards have helped me stay focused, reveal hidden motivations, and ask questions about myself and this life that I never would have asked otherwise.

Katy kept asking to use my cards for her own work and I kept refusing because I didn’t trust the mixing of energies. I don’t know if that’s a thing or not in the Tarot world, but I wasn’t willing to take the chance! I ended up buying her a different deck (she’s not a big fan of either Osho or Zen anyway) that focuses more on Astrological Divination. Well now that we have them in the house, I couldn’t help but test them out myself and sure enough, I’m loving these cards as well.

Let’s forget about all that “aren’t you against mixing Tarot energies” stuff, ok?

This week’s photo challenge is “New” and keeping with the theme, I’m going to demonstrate a short reading of our new Tarot deck. This reading is for YOU my friends. All you have to do is think about what is “New” in your life, be as specific as possible. Whether it’s something exciting or challenging, it doesn’t matter. Focus on this “New” thing by closing your eyes and taking three deep breaths, then continue on to get the reading.

(did you breathe deep yet or are you cheating? mmmhmmm)

(ok, on to the reading)

The question I posed to the cards is: “How can I best use the “New” in my life to reach my stated goals?”

FullSizeRenderNeptune in Leo in the 7th House indicates “creative inspiration, spiritual love and generosity, and hidden leadership” within the realm of your romantic relationships or close partnerships. I would say the reading is telling us to use the new things in our life as tools for taking the lead and improving upon our most important relationships. For myself, this would mean using these cards (my “New” thing) with my wife to periodically inquire into the state of our relationship and create tangible plans of action for securing our bond.

Did this exercise work for you? I’d love to hear some feedback about what you believe the cards are saying for you and what is new in your life…even if you think I’m wrong…yeah, especially if you think I’m wrong..I like learning from others. 🙂

Until next week’s photo challenge — see ya when I see ya, Peace.
