Rumi Moment of the Week

I know I say this every time I post something from Rumi but seriously I think this is my favorite quote. It blows my mind whenever I see and reflect upon it. That’s the beauty of Rumi’s poetry — it has the ability to break your mind so that traditional thought patterns cease and silence rushes in to take their place. Similar to the way Zen Koans work.

What is the sound of one Rumi poem gone unread?

Anyway, enjoy the full text from which this quote comes:

Imagining is like feeling around in a dark lane, or washing your eyes with blood.

You are the truth from foot to brow.

Now, what else would you like to know?
