I was sitting around thinking about random things:
“If I used to be a therapist, but am not practicing anymore, then what am I now?”
“This addiction to food is coming to a crossroads and I don’t know exactly how to handle it.”
“The words are there, I just don’t have the faucet on.”
“What am I doing?”
“I wonder why Katy and I cannot keep a plant alive”
“It sure looks nice outside — but I know it’s cold than a mug.”
“I gotta go to the post office tomorrow…oh wait, it’s probably closed…dang, I waited all week and now I didn’t get the chore done…some househusband I am.”
“I’m just a seeker…”
….and on and on….
Until my mind settled on these words:
“Don’t seek, don’t search, don’t ask, don’t knock, don’t demand – relax. If you relax, it comes. If you relax, it is there. If you relax, you start vibrating with it.”
So that is where I left the random thoughts and began to breathe. I think sometimes these thoughts overwhelm us because we’re so used to allowing them in..our minds have always and only known thoughts, it is conditioned through living to accept them as they are. I realize that thoughts are the vehicles we use for creating ourselves in this world, they are in the constant motion of making something happen. This reminds me of some other wise person’s words:
“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.”
So all the time we’re relating to what we think should be happening instead of just being at peace with what Is. That is the standard — that is where I keep coming back to when I breathe — and that is where I find myself again. No noise, no superfluous ideas of life…just myself.
I think it’s interesting to put these two quotes together as such:
“Do not be Tense by seeking or searching. Do not Tense yourself through asking, knocking, or demanding. Just Be Yourself. If you are Yourself, It comes. If you are Yourself, It is there. If you are Yourself, you start vibrating with It.”
This is the Purpose of everyday, to come back to yourself as often as possible.
